Overview
The meeting point for this tour is at the port of Palermo, you will be met by your driver who will then commence the driver to Cefalu (approximately 1 hour from Palermo).
Cefalu is a famous seaside hotspot for tourists, which boasts a sandy beach right next to the town area, ancient ruins and a hilltop castle. Another great tourist attraction is the Duomo, which is a stunning two-tower Norman Cathedral, dating back to the 12th Century. The interior is decorated with beautiful mosaics created by Byzantine artists.
This tour will also take you on an exploration of the narrow streets of the city center, including the old fisherman's quarter in the old town of Cefalu.
Above the Duomo, on the top of the hill, is the megalithic building, dating back to the 9th century BC, ruins of the 'Temple of Diana' built of large limestone rocks.
At the end of exploring Cefalu, we will head back to Palermo port, with amazing memories of a Sicilian gem.
