Overview
This is a private tour, you will be met at the port of Palermo by your driver who will then guide you to your transportation ready to commence the tour to Segesta.
Segesta is an ancient city, which lies amongst hills and gorges, making it prominent for its panoramic views because of the location. You will continue toward an archeological site alongside remains from different historical sites such as the Doric Temple, the Theatre of Greco-Roman period and a medieval area, with city walls, a castle and two churches from the Norman period.
After the tour of Segesta, you will continue on to visit one of the many local wineries of the area, to learn and get the insights of wine production. Here you will enjoy typical Sicilian dishes, which will be paired with different wines to complement.
After this delicious lunch and wine experience, there will be some free time to explore before returning back to Palermo cruise port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
