Overview
Discover the historical elegance of "Original Stockholm," more commonly known as Old Town or Gamla Stan!
You'll be amazed at the gorgeous Royal Palace, still standing tall (and in excellent condition!) since its first construction back in 1754.
We'll wander through the narrow, twisting alleys and cobblestone streets, where its not uncommon to smell freshly baked cinnamon buns baking in the kitchens of little Swedish grandmas.
As you stroll along with your guide, you'll savor the romantic atmosphere and sense the amazing antiquity in buildings dating from the 16th to 19th centuries with baroque doorways and regal coats of arms.
You'll also see the Stortorget (Great Square) the hub of Old Town, dominated by the old Stock Exchange, and today home of the Nobel Museum and the Swedish Academy, which meets each year to decide the Nobel Prize.
We'll continue with a relaxing drive through the city center of Stockholm and onto the worlds first permanent Icebar.
The interior of the icebar is kept at a temperature of -5 degrees Celsius year-round.
The entire interior, including the glasses, are made of pure, clear ice from the Tome River in Northern Sweden.
In order to keep you comfortable, we provide all of our guests with warm fur ponchos and gloves before entering.
A vodka drink will be served in an ice glass and the staff will tell you more about the bar, as well as its construction.
