After a pickup from the cruise ship pier, we will depart to the see Salisbury Cathedral in the town of Salisbury, England.
This beautiful Anglican Cathedral is constructed in the Early Gothic style and was built during the 1200s. While you'll find numerous statues on the outside, the interior is known for its simplistic beauty. The Cathedral boasts the tallest spire in Britain and one of the oldest clocks in the world, dating from the 1300s.
The octagonal-shaped charter house contains the best of the surviving 4 original copies of the Magna Carta. This important historical document provided a guarantee of rights and privileges to all people and established the principle that everyone, including the king, was subject to the law.
