The meeting point is at Trapani cruise port, where your English speaking driver will be waiting for you, to start this breath taking tour of scenic and historical memories of two of Sicilys jewels, Segesta and Erice.
Your tour begins with a drive up to Erice, a Sicilian town nestled above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Admiring the incredible view as the tour takes twists and turns boasting incredible scenery on the way.
On arrival in to Erice, the ancient stone walls, cobbled streets and the breath taking views are something that can not be missed! Within the cobbled streets, there are many shops serving their wares, including a renowned family owned pastry shop, producing the most incredible almond pastries, you cannot visit Erice without sampling some of the almond produce.
Erice village has a feel of medieval history, every way you turn there is something to admire and learn about. A true gem of this island.
From this incredible village you will continue the tour to Segesta, descending down the mountain, arriving at the ancient Segesta village, where the Doric Temple is situated. Within the hillside you will also find the theatre, which is still in use today.
After spending time exploring this ancient beauty, you will enjoy a stop at a local winery for a typical Sicilian lunch and to experience some of the local wine. Here we will learn all about how the wine is produce, the cultivation of the grapes to the aging in oak barrels.
This tour is something special, capturing the incredible scenic memories and experiencing the wonderful produce of the wine.
At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to Trapani port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
