Your private driver will meet you at the cruise pier, waiting to handle your luggage before heading to the boat pier for your private ride to St. Marks Square, the historical centre of Venice.

St. Marks Basilica is the centrepiece of the square. Known as the Church of Gold for its opulence, this magnificent Venetian-Byzantine structure is a mix of Eastern and Western architectural influences, and has become a common style in the city.
The Doges Palace, completed in 1450, was the former house of the Government of the ancient Venetian Republic. While here, you'll learn about the origins of Venice, the main events which characterized the 1,000 years of her independence, the peculiar political system that the city created.
The Square is also home to important government buildings, the National Library of St. Marks, the Museum of Archaeology, the Correr Museum, the Rialto Bridge and many other sites of interest.
After touring St. Marks Square, you will return to the cruise ship pier via boat transfer to reconnect with your driver, who will take you to the airport for your flight back home.
